George Boorujy was born and raised in New Providence, New Jersey. He now lives and works in the small, quaint, and largely unheard of, artist colony of Brooklyn, New York. He is represented by P.P.O.W. Gallery in New York. Learn more about him at www.georgeboorujy.com or www.nypelagic.com

My work is primarily concerned with how we interact with and perceive the natural world, especially wildlife. The intention is to depict animals as they truly are, with all attendant veins and ticks and scars, without disregarding their symbolic and iconic power.
