Allison Merriweather is an outsider artist. She has had one-woman exhibitions at venues including the Upstairs Gallery, The Lab, the Wells Fargo Exhibition Room, the American Institute of Architecture, and others. Her prints have been featured at the American Visionary Museum in Baltimore, Maryland. She has participated in almost thirty juried shows and publications including Artweek and Man In Nature. Her paintings are in many corporate collections – among them The Tanaka Group, Tokyo, Intersource Group, Los Angeles, and Altec Digital Industries, Redwood City, California.

My current body of work was inspired by my travels in Turkey in Spring 2011. Most are mixed media collage created from both paints and natural pigment including a reddish brown mud from the Tigris River. These painting was finished in Şanlıurfa, Turkey.
