Congratulations Past Contributors


Every once in awhile we get some good news at the Flyway office when we hear about past contributors who are out there, continuing to publish and to gather awards for their hard work and talent. Below are some recent contributors who have garnered recent accolades in some way.

— Bernadette Geyer‘s first full-length book of poetry entitled The Scabbard of Her Throat has been selected by Cornelius Eady for publication in 2013 by The Word Works. You can find Bernadette’s poem, “I Become Like Proust” in our spring/fall 2003 issue of Flyway, and the poem will also be reappearing in her new collection. Pre-publication orders are now being taken. You can see more about the book at Bernadette Geyer’s web site.

— Robert Kostuck has received a Pushcart nomination for his short fiction piece, “If I Had the Wings of a Dove,” which appears in the Spring 2012 issue of So To Speak. Robert was published in Flyway Volume 11.2/11.3/12.1 as the winner of the Sweet Corn writing contest for his non-fiction piece, “A Brief Guide to the Flowers of the Southwest Deserts.”
